Summary

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council, or ASC, is an international nonprofit certification and labeling organization for responsible farmed seafood. ASC develops standards for aquaculture farms and requires Chain of Custody certification for certified product after it leaves the farm Unit of Certification. ASC uses the MSC Chain of Custody Standard plus an ASC-owned CoC Module to verify the origin of seafood sold as ASC-certified.
