Apparel Recovery Coalition (ARC)

The Apparel Recovery Coalition brings together The Or Foundation, Adidas, BESTSELLER, H&M Group and Inditex, with Circle Economy serving as secretariat. Launched in 2026, it explores how producer responsibility contributions can support reuse, upcycling, recycling, and responsible waste management in countries receiving exported secondhand clothing. Its first demonstration project is in Ghana, with plans for at least one additional recipient-country project. The coalition operates through an independent foundation registered in the Netherlands and emphasizes community participation and practical learning.
