UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative

The UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative is a United Nations partnership programme that works with stock exchanges, securities regulators, investors, companies, and other capital market actors to promote sustainable investment and stronger ESG disclosure. Launched by the UN Secretary-General in 2009, the initiative is organised by UNCTAD, the UN Global Compact, UNEP FI, and the Principles for Responsible Investment. Its mission is to help exchanges and regulators advance responsible investment, improve corporate transparency, and support sustainable development through capital markets.
