Solar Grazing

Solar Grazing is the practice of allowing livestock—most commonly sheep, but sometimes goats or cattle—to graze vegetation beneath and between solar panels. As a form of agrivoltaics (or dual-use solar), it combines renewable energy generation with agricultural land use, reducing mowing costs, supporting biodiversity, and enabling farmland to remain productive while hosting solar installations. It can also provide farmers with an additional source of income.
