Ecolabel

An ecolabel is a certification mark or environmental label used to identify products or services that meet defined sustainability criteria. Most credible ecolabels are based on life-cycle considerations, evaluate multiple environmental impacts, and require independent verification. Examples include the EU Ecolabel, Nordic Swan, and Blue Angel. Ecolabels help consumers and procurement teams identify environmentally preferable products while reducing the risk of misleading environmental claims.
