Crystallization

Crystallization is the process by which atoms, ions, or molecules arrange themselves into an ordered, repeating structure to form a crystal. It can occur when a material solidifies from a liquid, precipitates from a solution, or transforms from an amorphous state into a more ordered solid. In technologies such as perovskite solar cells and optoelectronic devices, crystallization strongly affects crystal size, defect density, film uniformity, charge transport, stability, and overall device performance. Controlling factors such as temperature, solvent evaporation, composition, and processing conditions is therefore important for producing consistent, high-quality materials.
