Agrivoltaics
Agrivoltaics is the combined use of the same land area for agriculture and solar photovoltaic energy generation. In an agrivoltaic system, solar panels are installed above or alongside crops, pasture, or other agricultural activities, allowing the land to produce both food and renewable electricity. The panels can provide partial shade, which may reduce heat stress, limit water evaporation, and protect some crops from extreme weather. At the same time, farmers can benefit from an additional income stream through electricity generation or local energy use. Agrivoltaics is especially relevant in regions with limited land availability, high solar potential, or pressure to balance food security, rural resilience, and clean
