Overview
As demand for digital infrastructure continues to accelerate, data centres face increasing scrutiny over their energy consumption, water use, embodied carbon, and broader environmental and community impacts. The Sustainable Data Centres Forum has been established to examine these challenges and showcase practical strategies for improving sustainability across the sector.
The one-day programme is aimed at owners, developers, designers, operators, consultants, investors, and other professionals involved in Australia's data centre industry. Planned topics include energy efficiency, water stewardship, embodied carbon reduction, circular economy principles, whole-of-life thinking, and sustainable finance for data centre projects.
Attendance
The forum runs from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm AEDT at Dockside, Cockle Bay Wharf, Sydney. Early bird registration is available until 16 October 2026, with tickets priced at AUD 796 for GBCA members and AUD 995 for non-members (including GST). Standard registration thereafter costs AUD 876 for members and AUD 1,095 for non-members.
