Overview
As sustainable finance frameworks continue to expand globally, organisations are increasingly expected to demonstrate the environmental credentials of their buildings and projects. This instructor-led masterclass explains how green building certifications fit within the wider ecosystem of sustainable finance, helping participants understand how recognised certification schemes can support eligibility for green financing and investment.
The course introduces participants to major sustainable finance taxonomies, including regional and international frameworks such as those developed by the EU and ASEAN, and examines how these align with green building certification systems. It also covers the role of second-party opinion providers, the integration of ESG considerations into financing decisions, and the relationship between certification frameworks and regulatory requirements. Through practical case studies, attendees will explore pathways for securing green finance for new developments as well as transition finance for improving existing assets.
