Overview

As demand grows for lower-carbon buildings and greater transparency in construction supply chains, EPDs have become an increasingly important tool for communicating the environmental impacts of building materials. This instructor-led course provides participants with an introduction to the principles behind EPDs, the standards that govern them, and their role in supporting sustainable procurement, green building certifications, and carbon disclosure.

The programme covers the regulatory and market drivers behind product carbon disclosure, the governance of EPD programmes, Product Category Rules (PCRs), and international standards including ISO 14025 and EN 15804 for construction products. By the end of the course, attendees should be able to interpret EPDs confidently and understand the requirements for producing internationally recognised declarations.

Attendance

The course runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and is delivered in person at the Singapore Sustainability Academy. Registration is available through the SGBC website. Course fees are SGD 425.10 for SGBC Members and Green Mark Professionals, and SGD 545 for non-members.
