The Pro Tour: Low Embodied Carbon in a Zero Energy, Straw Panel Farmhouse is set to take place on October 30, 2026, from 1 PM to 5 PM in Southbury, Connecticut. Organized by NESEA, this workshop will feature a collaboration between Wolfworks and Rare Forms, highlighting a new single-family home designed to minimize embodied carbon while achieving energy self-sufficiency.
Participants will gain insights into the logistics of working with a panel fabricator, maximizing installation efficiency, and selecting materials that align with budget constraints. The event will kick off with presentations from the hosting companies, detailing the panel manufacturing process and the environmental benefits of this construction approach.
Following the presentations, attendees will tour the site, breaking into small groups to engage with the project team and learn about the innovative techniques employed in the construction. The day will conclude with a reception and Q&A session, providing an opportunity for networking and discussion among participants and speakers.
