Overview
The Open Energiedag 2026 is set for September 19, 2026, and marks the sixth annual event organized by the NVDE in collaboration with various industry associations. This initiative allows the public to visit numerous sustainable energy projects throughout the Netherlands, showcasing innovations in solar and wind power, among other clean energy solutions.
Participation
In 2025, over 4,000 visitors explored more than 60 projects, highlighting the growing interest in sustainable energy. Organizations and projects are encouraged to open their doors to the public, providing insights into how energy is generated and the steps being taken to make it cleaner and more sustainable.
Related Events
Coinciding with the Open Energiedag, the National Climate Bike Day will also take place, featuring cycling routes that connect various sustainable initiatives, including those participating in the Open Energiedag. This dual event aims to engage the community in discussions about energy sustainability while promoting active transportation.
