Overview
The EU Island Leadership Forum 2026 holding in Brussels on October 15, 2026, as part of Brussels Climate Week is designed to bring together leaders from Europe's islands, particularly those from Outermost Regions and Member States.
Objectives
The forum aims to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by islands in the context of climate change. As frontline communities, islands are not only vulnerable to climate impacts but also serve as testing grounds for innovative solutions. Participants will engage in discussions on how these regions can contribute more effectively to the EU's climate policies and initiatives.
Venue and Registration
The event will be held at Maison de la Poste, a central location in Bruxelles. Interested attendees can register through the event's official website. By participating, attendees will have the opportunity to network with policymakers, share insights, and collaborate on strategies to enhance the resilience of island communities against climate change.
