Event Overview

The Cricket Clothing Upcycling Workshop is scheduled for July 18, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at AFC Wimbledon. This workshop is part of the Circular Cultures in Wandsworth (2C) Project, funded by UKRI through the University for the Creative Arts.

Facilitated by experts from The Centre for Sustainable Designยฎ at UCA, including Professor Martin Charter and Dr. Lilian Sanchez Moreno, along with Malsara Thorne from Remaykit, this workshop aims to address the significant environmental impact of cricket clothing. Participants will engage in a hands-on experience, working with donated end-of-life cricket garments to explore ideas for reuse, repair, and redesign.

Workshop Activities

  • Insights from various cricket gear and clothing projects
  • A guided innovation workshop using the GreenThink! methodology
