Overview

The CO2 Training Workshop 2026 is a two-day event designed for refrigeration technicians to enhance their understanding of CO2 Booster systems. Co-hosted with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) Energy Centers, this workshop emphasizes total system integration and troubleshooting, providing participants with practical skills and knowledge.

Workshop Details

Participants will engage in a comprehensive review of CO2 transcritical booster systems, covering essential components such as compressors, valves, gas coolers, and controls. The agenda includes interactive group exercises and real-world examples to help technicians interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control information effectively.

Day One

The first day focuses on component reviews and wiring-diagram breakdowns, culminating in group exercises that trace refrigeration and control sequences.

Day Two

The second day is dedicated to troubleshooting common CO2 system issues, employing a systematic approach to diagnose alarms, component failures, and performance problems.

This workshop is supported by the California Air Resources Board’s F-gas Reduction Incentive Program (FRIP), highlighting its commitment to advancing climate-friendly refrigerants. Participants will also have opportunities to network with industry professionals and learn from experienced trainers.
