Brightcon 2026, hackathon and courses

Brightcon 2026 is a significant gathering for enthusiasts of open sustainability, hosted by Aalborg University and organized by Département de Sentier. The event spans six days, beginning with an informal icebreaking gathering on September 20, followed by a two-day hackathon on September 21 and 22. Participants will collaborate on coding projects and improving documentation for existing tools and datasets. On September 22, courses on open-source packages will be offered, exclusively for conference attendees. The main conference runs from September 23 to 25, featuring discussions centered around the theme "Collaboration: Mixing Tools, Data, and People." This year's focus is on fostering interdisciplinary exchange and breaking down barriers between academic research and industrial applications.
