##Overview/nThe BlueGreen Innovation Challenge 2026 (BIC26) is designed to foster collaboration among a wide range of stakeholders, including regional authorities, utilities, researchers, and students. Participants will engage in a hands-on approach to problem-solving, focusing on critical areas such as water management, nature-based solutions, and resource efficiency. Teams will be formed to ensure a mix of expertise, enhancing the learning experience and the potential for innovative outcomes.
The event will kick off with a welcome session and keynote address, followed by team-building activities and exploration of challenge cases. Participants are encouraged to submit their own challenges or choose from those presented by challenge owners. The culmination of the event will see teams pitching their solutions to a jury, with students taking the lead in presentations. This format not only promotes creativity but also aims to develop solutions that can create lasting value beyond the event itself.
BIC26 is free to attend, with catering and facilities provided, although participants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation. The event will be conducted primarily in Danish, with plenary sessions in English, making it accessible to a broader audience. This initiative is supported by various partners, including CLEAN – Denmark’s Water and Environmental Cluster and the Danish National Network for Climate Adaptation, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the event.
