Overview

Bærekraftdagen 2027 provides a forum for knowledge exchange and collaboration on sustainable development in western Norway. Its preliminary programme combines presentations and panel discussions exploring the economic, environmental and social dimensions of sustainability. The programme is structured around three main areas:

  • Regional transition: Economic and environmental perspectives on industrial transformation in western Norway, including the offshore sector.

  • Climate and nature-related risks: Financial risks associated with climate change and nature loss, alongside perspectives from local businesses.

  • Resilience and psychological safety: How individuals and organisations can respond to uncertainty and maintain resilience during periods of change.

The conference will feature speakers from academia, finance, industry and environmental organisations. It will also include the presentation of the Bærekraftprisen (Sustainability Award), recognising contributions to sustainable development in the region.
