Ford Pro has announced significant improvements to its popular E-Transit electric van, offering customers an enhanced range and new features for the 2024 model year.

Extended Range

The 2024 E-Transit now boasts an impressive EPA-estimated range of up to 159 miles on a single charge, marking a substantial 32% increase from the previous model. This enhancement allows businesses to cover more ground between charges, potentially increasing productivity and reducing downtime.

Ford has achieved this range improvement by implementing a new lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. This advanced battery technology not only extends the driving range but also offers several additional benefits:

  • Faster charging capabilities

  • Improved durability

  • Enhanced performance in various temperature conditions

  • Lower Cost of Ownership

Additional Features

The new E-Transit comes with several new features designed to improve functionality and user experience:

  1. Intelligent Range: This system provides more accurate range estimates by considering factors such as payload, weather conditions, and driving habits

  2. Pro Power Onboard: Now standard on all E-Transit models, this feature offers 2.4 kilowatts of exportable power, allowing users to power tools and equipment directly from the vehicle

The enhanced E-Transit is expected to strengthen Ford Pro's position in the commercial electric vehicle market. The van’s electric features have helped save 3 million gallons of fuel and reduce CO2 emissions, reinforcing Ford’s commitment to sustainability.
