Event Overview
The Providence Wind Turbine Tour is set for June 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Narragansett Bay Commission in Providence, RI. This event is organized by the Green Energy Consumers Alliance in collaboration with John Motta, an engineer from the Narragansett Bay Commission. Participants will have the chance to learn about the wind turbine that contributes to the Community Choice Electricity program, which serves several towns including Barrington, Central Falls, and Newport.
Agenda
9:45 AM: Arrival at the Wastewater Treatment Facility, with coffee and pastries provided.
10:10 AM: Walk to the turbine.
10:15 AM: Presentation and Q&A session at the turbine led by engineers from the Green Energy Consumers Alliance and the Narragansett Bay Commission.
10:50 AM: Return to the facility.
11:00 AM: Tour concludes.
Hard hats will be provided for all attendees, and spots are limited, so early RSVP is encouraged.
