Event Overview

The Procure & Collaborate: Advancing In Sustainable Supply Chains workshop is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to implement sustainable procurement practices.   1. Reprise and Update: This module reviews the legislative and climate context for sustainable business practices, exploring frameworks and ethical considerations. Participants will analyze case studies from Irish companies to understand best practices.

  2. The SFC/WBSCD Framework: Participants will learn about the Smart Freight Centre and World Business Council for Sustainable Development's Freight Procurement Guidelines, focusing on the steps for implementing sustainable procurement strategies.

  3. Engaging SME Suppliers: This module trains participants on how to engage suppliers in sustainability initiatives and accurately report carbon emissions.

This course is ideal for professionals involved in international trade, including procurement managers, sustainability officers, and supply chain managers.
